- The future of L&D
- Learning analytics
- L&D online course
General L&D and Human Resources Development (HRD)
We start off with some general information on learning and development, or human resources development. This section provides a comprehensive guide of L&D, as well as some books, common concepts (such as digital and blended learning, multiple intelligence theory, EQ, and knowledge management), and celebrated frameworks (such as Kolb’s learning styles, Bloom’s taxonomy, and the ADDIE model).
Training needs analysis (TNA)
The training needs analysis is an intervention aimed at assessing the developmental needs of individuals, teams, or organizations. In this section we have added a few comprehensive guides on how to run a training needs analysis.
Learning culture & learning organization
In 1987, Peter Senge and a team of researchers at the Sloan School of Management of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) proposed the learning organization. The learning organization is an organization characterized by continuous change and learning. Adapting to this learning organization requires a different culture and organizational structure. Below you will find some of Senge’s work as well as more contemporary adaptations to his thinking.
One of the key skills for learning and development practitioners is coaching. Whether you are coaching an individual employee on their development needs, or a manager looking to improve their people skills, coaching skills will make you more successful. In this section we have listed some critical coaching resources.
The differential effects of solution-focused and problem-focused coaching questions on the affect, attentional control and cognitive flexibility of undergraduate students experiencing study-related stress (Academic paper)
All good learning and development activities aim to create (business) impact. To measure the impact of learning activities, learning analytics provides a great tool. In this section, we list some useful content on learning analytics.
The Future of L&D
The field of learning and development is in constant flux, especially in today’s ever changing world. In this section we have selected some of the best future-looking resources that will help you get a better understanding of the future challenges for L&D.
