AIHR Opens Applications for the Second Cohort of Its Mentorship Program

The four-month program pairs HR professionals for one-to-one mentoring and career growth, adding a human dimension to AIHR's online, self-paced courses.

Rotterdam, July 15, 2026 — AIHR, an online HR learning platform, has opened applications for the second cohort of its mentorship program. The program pairs HR professionals for one-to-one mentoring over four months, and each pair meets online in regular sessions. Participants get practical support to build their skills, expand their network, and advance their career. Members can join as a mentee to learn from someone more experienced, or as a mentor to grow their leadership and support others in the field. Applications are open now through August 14, and the cohort begins in September 2026.

AIHR built the program to bring the element of human connection to online learning and help people put their new HR knowledge to use. The benefit runs both ways: mentees learn from a mentor’s experience, and mentors deepen their own by guiding someone earlier in their career. Pairs work through real situations together, and some continue meeting after the program ends. The first cohort ran from February to June 2026 and matched more than 200 pairs of HR professionals.

In each pair, a mentee is matched with a more experienced HR professional as their mentor. Mentees gain guidance, new techniques, and a wider professional network. Mentors sharpen their coaching and leadership skills and have the opportunity to give back to the HR community. Both also receive a digital badge for taking part, which they can share on LinkedIn.

AIHR matches each pair based on skills, expertise, and HR domains of interest, then supports them with group onboarding calls, guidebooks, and a shared Mentorship Hub. A mentorship agreement helps each pair set meeting frequency and goals from the first session.

Based on member feedback, AIHR is adding more support for the second cohort, checking in with pairs throughout the four months to keep them engaged. The program encourages the participants to meet for 1 to 2 hours every month. AIHR will also host virtual group meetups where mentors and mentees connect with peers to trade advice and share experiences.

“In digital learning, most of the work happens behind the scenes, and members rarely see one another,” said Serin Qandil, Community Team Lead at AIHR. “The mentorship program changes that. Mentees find someone who understands their goals and helps them move forward, and mentors tell us they get just as much from it. That human connection is what our members were looking for.”

One participant from the first cohort credited her mentor with a step up at work: “She helped me immensely by giving me confidence, teaching me new techniques, and sharing her knowledge. Thanks to her support, I have progressed in my grade level at my workplace.”

Applications for the second cohort are open to all AIHR members at community.aihr.com/mentorship-program.
