What we are looking for

We are a fast-growing scale-up, so there’s always work to be done and even though we like you to be yourself, there are certain qualities that will help you thrive at our company. These include strong work ethics for high-quality work, a real self-starter attitude with a desire to push beyond conventional boundaries and try new things. You need to be capable of dealing with challenges fast, keeping pace, and getting it right. You’ll also need the confidence to take on big challenges and deliver on them. We’re looking for someone who is very competitive, structured, driven by numbers, and determined to drive our company to the stars!

A typical day in the job…

You arrive in the office at 8:30. The marketing team is usually already sitting there and working, and the rest will trickle in within the hour. Flexible working hours for the win!

After a brief chat with your colleagues, you grab a cup of coffee, start your computer, check your calendar for meetings, and prepare the day around the calls and Skype meetings you have booked with your existing and potential clients.

After planning your day, you open the CRM system and go through your tasks for the day. You follow up with existing leads that you haven’t heard from in a while, prepare quotes, supplier forms, and invoices, and create new orders in the order management system. You do a round of cold calls in a specific market or reach out to prospects via social media – we love social selling! The world is your oyster in regards to our B2B market; we’ve educated students from 60+ countries and have corporate clients ranging from Multinationals like LEGO and Bosch to a Governmental agency in Australia.

After a complimentary lunch in our office with a view on the Erasmus bridge, you have a meeting with a potential client who came from an inbound lead (year-to-date, 33% of the revenue came from incoming leads). You discuss with the client where they currently are in their HR Analytics cycle and where they would need our help. We have a product with a proven market-fit and sales-process and have developed our own Framework to determine the needs of potential clients.

We try to keep internal meetings to a minimum. Once a week, you’ll join the sales and marketing meeting to go over strategy and proposal and once every two weeks, you’ll take part in the sprint planning sessions. And if it’s the last Friday of the month, then you’re invited to join the monthly BoBu (short for Borrel-Burger). This is the time where the whole team comes together to celebrate our successes, have fun, and get to know each other outside of work.

Job Duties

In this job, you will play a vital role in growing our B2B client base. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Identifying and prospecting potential clients. In regards to cold outreach, we believe that a combination of traditional (Cold Calling) and contemporary (Social Selling) sales strategies work the best.
  • Selling products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance on best practices and improvements to our products.
  • Attending conferences (we attended UNLEASH last year) and events to catch-up with existing clients and meet new prospects.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Native or near-native English speaker and writer
  • Ideally, you have around 2 or 3 years B2B Sales experience
  • You are super competitive and full of energy
  • You want to constantly improve sales strategies and your own performance
  • You are not afraid to pick up the phone
  • Previous experience selling on a global scale is a plus

  • Flexible working hours
  • A high degree of autonomy in a fun, young, and enthusiastic startup team
  • A beautiful office in the heart of Rotterdam (Blaak 516), free lunch, regular drinks, and fun team activities.
