AIHR Learning Bite: The Talent Pool in a Nutshell
A talent pool is a database that holds the profiles of all the people who are interested in your organization. A talent pool can act as a safety net: Whenever you see yourself faced with an unexpected, sudden departure, having a talent pool can save you. It’s the first place you can look for qualified candidates and if you are lucky, you won’t need to launch a full (and often long and painful) recruitment process.
A talent pool is also an excellent way to access passive candidates, facilitate strategic workforce planning, and build your employer brand.
To maintain a talent pool, it is advised to regularly browse through your talent pool, remember and consider former employees, add internal talent, fill in difficult positions, and engage with personalized content.
