AIHR Learning Bite: What is HR Analytics?
HR analytics and people analytics are terms that have been used somewhat interchangeably to describe the same phenomenon: using people data to make better business decisions.
Of these terms, HR analytics became more popular, ranking first in terms of Google searches, while People analytics is placed second.
Yet, the term ‘people analytics’ has recently become increasingly popular and seems to be catching up. This is happening for a few reasons:
- ‘HR Analytics’ is becoming overused;
- ‘HR Analytics’ is too narrow;
- It’s all about people.
